Both living in Zurich, each regularly performing as DJ's, and both named Adrian S. - perhaps it was destiny that Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer would meet in 2008 and form a near instant friendship. The two men carved out a career as one of the most consistently delivering DJ/producer duos in the house and techno scene: Adriatique.

After taking Sonus Festival 2018 by storm, techno phenomenon Amelie Lens is back to unleash her all-enveloping sound with the skill and sheer emotional engagement of someone who lives and breathes techno. Last year saw Amelie manifesting her stellar career, with a massive tour schedule that took her from Fabric to DC-10, by way of Time Warp Brasil and a myriad of stops in between. Andrea Oliva’s current status as an established international headline act is the result of an entirely organic journey. With his status in his home country growing, Andrea teamed up with local club kid and friend Agi Isaku, and the duo were soon throwing sold out ‘Banditz’ parties across Switzerland. This home-based collaboration continues through to this day with Andrea playing regular sets at his beloved Nordstern. Needless to say, Andrea ́s dedication to the underground scene has garnered him widespread support and his music is appreciated by a range of dance music luminaries. We’re excited to welcome him back once again at Sonus Festival 2019!
Formed in 2012, Apollonia are the gods of groovy, stripped-back underground house music: The French trio, consisting of Shonky, Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom, will once again be bringing the sound of the after-party to our open-air dancefloor at Sonus Festival 2019. Often called the “supergroup of underground”, their sets are amongst the most in demand on the international scene. Get ready for one of their spectacular back2back2back sets that has captivated crowds all over the world and will soon be brought back to the shores of Pag Island!
Berghain resident since 2005, "Klockwork" label owner and an ever-present symbol of Berlin’s vast musical landscape: Ben Klock has established himself at the forefront of the international techno scene. Those who have witnessed him perform not only praise the diversity in his track selection, but also his ability to create a room rather than just play to it. His ability to create an intricate narrative and sense of flow in his sets makes him a perfect addition to our stellar line-up for Sonus Festival 2019. Though intense and powerful, his DJ output reflects a certain kind of fervour, capturing an artistry and emotion that can often appear absent from the Techno genre. We are very much looking forward to Ben Klock's Sonus debut.
A longtime staple of Sonus Festival and resident at Berlin's iconic Club Der Visionaere, Germann Nguyen – better known as Binh – is back for yet another dance underneath the stars. Binh's part of a small but respected circle of DJs known for their laid-back approach to promotion, slick technique and, most importantly, an endless supply of forgotten bombs. Get ready for the most refined variety, defined by subtlety and sprinkled with the delightfully unexpected. It's music you need to seek out—it won't come to you. After making his spectacular Sonus debut in 2018, Germany's electronic music powerhouse Boris Brejcha brings back his High Tech Minimal to Zrce Beach. During the last years, his pure, unadulterated groove swept through clubs and festivals across the world, including a debut set at Time Warp 2018, winning armies of fans along the way. Born in London, Dax J grew up listening to Jungle, Drum & Bass and UK Garage and started DJing when he was 15. Today he runs his own studio in Berlin as a prolific producer and successful record label boss – all the while remained purposefully rooted in the underground. A quintessential DJ in every sense of the word, through the years he has carved out and established his own unique sound. A real Frankfurt veteran, spinning for over 25 years, his trustful taste in music made Robert Johnson Resident Dorian Paic a regular fixture on global line-ups. Blending minimal or classy modern tech house, Dorian Paic always plays with precision, passion and a sense of free-flowing energy that keeps dance floors around the globe mesmerized. Joey Daniel’s career can be summed up as nothing less than a well-deserved rise to fame. The Rotterdam born/Amsterdam-resident has been making waves through the Dutch dance scene for nearly a decade now. By now he has become a key figure in Dutch nightlife and a trusted provider of acclaimed sets, having played nearly every club and festival imaginable. His love for the low-end, dubby tech spectrum of dance music, incorporating driving percussion elements, has him taking complete control over the crowd. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Sonus Festival welcomes Joey Daniel for his long-awaited debut on the shores of Pag Island.

Berghain resident Kobosil, born and raised in Berlin, stands for the dark and powerful side of techno, combining new music with genre classics in his straightforward sets. For the very first time in Sonus history, Kobosil brings his subtly hypnotic synth sounds, monochromatic textures and ambient excursions to the shores of Pag Island. His sets see him skilfully combine new techno records with timeless classics of the genre, acid, indie and industrial tracks, while adding pressure to his expressive and emotive track selection at the same time.
Rune Reilly Kölsch is a phenomenon: Well known for his productions, he has sold millions of records all over the world under his many different monikers and production work. With his natural flair for making music that makes people move, deeply rooted in the inspiring Chicago and Detroit scenes, Kölsch offered his exemplary remix abilities to London Grammar‘s 2017 hit ‘Hell To The Liars’, turning it into an emotive masterpiece. After a spectacular debut in 2018, the Dane will bring back his beats to Sonus Festival 2019, and you can catch his set right there, on the dreamy shores of Pag Island.
Since his breakthrough in 2013, Konstantin Sibold plays an essential role in the European electronic music scene. His music is played by artists like Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos and Dixon and spread around the world. Sibold’s sets show he pays little attention to the constraints of genres. Instead, he moves fleet-footed between musical categories, with a characteristic confidence that his quintessential style will shine through, whatever the musical template. In the studio, just as in the DJ booth, Konstantin lives and breathes the idea that music is fluid. With his touring schedule becoming ever-busier, now is the time to catch him at Sonus Festival 2019.
La Fleur, the pharmacists turned DJ, is quickly making her mark as one of the most exciting talents in house and techno. Building on the success of various EP’s on her label Power Plant, the Swedish DJ and producer earned a well-deserved award as Mixmag’s “Breakthrough DJ” in 2017. In August 2018 she laid down a critically acclaimed debut Essential Mix that received plaudits from across the industry. For our seventh’ edition of Sonus Festival in 2019, we’ve invited La Fleur for her exciting debut at our festival in Croatia.

Loco Dice, DJ, producer and Desolat record label co-founder, is up for his next Sonus appearance. Whether you’re a dreamer or a 9-to-5er who just wants to lose everything in a moment of abandon on the dancefloor, you will click to Loco Dice. One of electronic music’s most enduring and respected artists, he’s always shown an uncanny ability to read the crowd and take them in an unexpected direction. His delicate sense for sounds and reflective atmospheres, underpinned with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid- to late ‘90s, will have you lose control in no time.
A prominent DJ worldwide with releases on some of the leading labels in techno, Luigi Madonna has absorbed the influence of his native Italy and those who have gone before him to create a modern, ever-evolving sound of his own. As Madonna began to develop his style and seeking a sound to reflect his soul, the rise of minimal techno arrived at the perfect time, leading him to further delve into the realms of production. He plays with infectious energy, commanding the booth with a strong-yet-graceful presence and mixing with real flair. After two consecutive years at Sonus, he is back again for a third round at Sonus Festival 2019.
Maceo Plex's unstoppable, genre-spanning sets always revolve around his dedication to crafting sounds that continue to devastate dance floors around the world. The DJ Award winner and label boss of Ellum Audio graced the Sonus Festival booth in 2018, leaving the crowd astonished with an impromptu back2back session with Chris Liebing. Magdalena’s past as a booker and club manager might have given her those crucial skills that every DJ needs: knowing what the people want, reading them and reacting to their needs, while simultaneously directing those needs in a path that you have laid out for the night. A part of the Diynamic family since the beginning, Magdalena captivated bookers and the crowd of the White Isle alike – earning her a residency as well as a regular radio show in 2016. An integral part to the development of Italy’s techno scene in the early 90s, he has since distinguished himself an ambassador of spitfire electro-dance beats. Following a string of sold out shows all around the globe we’re proud to welcome the U.K. powerhouse that is Patrick Topping to Sonus Festival. Richy Ahmed is at the forefront of UK house music; taking cues from disco, techno, funk, electro and hiphop. Both Topping and Ahmed have evolved from underground stars to playing a major part in the British house music’s recent renaissance, and that’s why their mutual debut at Sonus is guaranteed to be a defining moment of the entire festival.

With over 25 years of experience, Ricardo Villalobos is one of the most beloved DJs in the industry with regular appearance at the most revered clubs and festivals worldwide. Whether it’s at a night time set or one of our legendary afterhours, Ricardo’s love for music can be felt in every note he plays. The amount of energy he uses, often dancing as hard as anyone in the crowd, has made him one of our festival fixtures and yearly highlights.
Richie Hawtin is a genuine original who left an indelible mark on the global techno scene. His critical acclaim spans the realm of the fine art community to the technological vanguard. During the span of his career, Hawtin created a unique techno sound, which is regarded as synonymous with the city of Detroit. His distinctive sound, electro house, has a minimal taste but is yet highly danceable. As a long-time member of the Time Warp and Sonus family Hawtin will make his return to the Sonus Festival stage in 2019.
With the perfect balance of timeless techno, dub and house, Rødhåd is going to take our open-air dance floor deeper and deeper into Berlin’s urban techno mood. His distinctive style - deep, powerful and melancholic – incorporating influences from dub to techno and percussive grooves, will be the perfect soundtrack to yet another perfect Sonus Festival memory. Cultural commentator, art curator, restaurateur and entrepreneur – not to mention long-time Sonus family member and exceptional DJ. Who better to paint the perfect musical backdrop to our festival at the Croatian sea than Seth Troxler? With his expert blend of early Chicago house and minimal techno through to obscure indierock and ambient psychedelia, Seth Troxler casts a spell on the crowd like no other. We cannot wait to have him back gracing our decks for our seventh edition of Sonus Festival.
With a release on Tale Of Us' "Afterlife" and running their own label "From Another Mind", SHDW and his studio partner Obscure Shape have been causing waves in the techno scene. Since their start in 2014 the duo has been building up a large and loyal following that continuously keeps growing with each year. Their surprising and energetic sets often combine a multitude of styles, including classic Detroit techno, rave, EBM and acid.
Solomun plays a major role in redefining European house music with productions, remixes and DJing by taking the very building blocks of House and deftly reconstructing them with a modern twist. A respected underground DJ, label boss and producer for a number of years, his stratospheric rise in popularity kicked off in 2012. His mastery in the art of musical storytelling, where vigour, deepness and emotion go hand in hand, left the Sonus crowd in awe at the festival’s closing last year. For our 2019 edition we expect nothing less.
There aren't many artists who embody the Sonus values as much as Sonja does: She’s a passionate selector, slick behind the decks and, perhaps most importantly, has a keen eye for the dance floor. Moonear now ranks among dance music's most in-demand acts, with a versatile and rhythmic style that takes in a broad cross-section of house, techno and minimal. A Sonus companion from day one, Sonja is sure to bring back her expert blend of styles to our perfect summer rave adventure on the shores of Pag Island.
The legend himself, cocoon mastermind, "papa" of the global techno scene, personification of "Gude Laune" and so much more. Sven Väth is a risk-taking visionary, an instigator, an innovator and indelible part of Sonus Festival history. With an unmatched passion for his craft, Sven shaped the advance and evolution of electronic music. Those who have witnessed him play, immediately felt connected by the sheer magic of his charisma. Sven’s set is something you simply must experience if you want to comprehend where techno comes from and where it is headed. No Papa, no Party.
The Tale Of Us is one of the most exciting stories in electronic music and one that's by far not finished yet. The Berlin based duo's deep house and techno sound has captured the imagination of dance music fans worldwide. With multifaceted focus, Tale Of Us break poetic and emotional boundaries, bringing reverie and awe back to Sonus Festival for the fifth time. Their mesmerising soundscapes and lush rhythms are set to shake the vibrant Isle of Pag to its core – and you with it. Watch as this tale grows and flourishes.
Whether it’s producing or playing, Valentino Kanzyani is one to crush borders and limitations of genres. Instead of joining trends, Valentino decided to release his label’s music mainly on vinyl as a way to support the true original format of the DJ. And it is his love for vinyl that has seen him flourish today, to become one of most respected underground vinyl DJs around. One of the founding fathers of Slovenian techno, he’s been a loyal companion and one to perfectly embody the sound of Pag Island.
Voigtmann started his career out as the co-founder of London’s most underground and conceptual party, Toi.Toi.Musik. With sublime dedication to DJing and music production Voigtmann has patiently acquired the respect of his peers in what is considered to be remarkable achievements in such short time. Coming from a punk band background, he rocks his sets with that certain punk attitude and never ceases to move the floor. Groove and funk are ever present. Voigtmann is an artist with an ever-increasing catalogue of knowledge, taste, and skill – and we are more than happy to welcome him for his Sonus Festival debut!
Not many have managed to stay off the limelights while heavily influencing the whole club scene - Zip did, although Perlon has become one of electronic music's most established institutions. For many people he flourishes best in his DJ sets, where you’ll hear a discerning mix of sublime 90s house weaved together with trippy minimal, all the while championing a style of deep digging that’s hard to find around. His skilful selection of tracks, served with an easy-going aura is one of the many reasons why Zip is one of the world’s truly special DJs.
